The novel “Obesrvation of the Soul”is a story about Angelina Branković, an Arbanasi noble lady and Serbian despot and saint. Because of her kindness, Serbian people named her the mother.
Angelina married the son of despot Đurać Branković, Stefan the Blind. They were married in Skadar. And five and a half centuries later the edition in Albanian, translated by Artur Popaj-Popović, was presented precisely in the town of their love.

“It is with great honour that, in Skadar itself, we present this work significant for our people. This book talks in support of bringing the two nations close together, but also reminds us that this closeness has existed for ages,” said Pavlo Jakoja-Brajović.
Archpriest Stavrophor Radomir Nikčević sent the “blessing and congratulations of Metropolitan Archbishop Amfilohije for the publishing of this significant, and highly needed book, and stressed:”This novel is a book that brings people back together, which should give a great contribution to a better understanding among Serbian and Albanian people. This is a significant, and capital work.”
Father Aleksandar Petani, the priest of the Albanian Ortodox Church in Skadar, also spoke about the book.”To talk about the book which talks about a life of a saint is not easy. And how hard it was to write this book! I think that no one of us would take that responsibility onto oneself. Misses Habjanović Đurović did that! She succesfully told the story about the earthly life of Mother Angelina, but also about what happens with her soul after the dissolution from the body,” said Petani, and expressed his hope that, like Serbian Ortodox Church, Albanian Ortodox Church would give to Mother Angelina a place that she deserves, as well.
Writer Budimir Dubak concluded the promotion saying that “this novel is an extraordinary contribution to Serbian prose. Ljiljana Habjanović Đjurović is a prose writer which already earned a special place among Serbian people.
